
BETTE MIDLER -- OL' RED HAIR IS BACK (TV)
Summary
A musical variety special featuring entertainer Bette Midler. Opens as a bikini-clad Midler bursts out of a clam shell in a South Seas production number of "Oklahoma!" Highlights include: Midler with "Friends"; "In the Mood"; "Shiver Me Timbers"; and "La Vie En Rose." Hoffman, at the piano, and Midler perform their composition "Shooting the Breeze"; and Hoffman plays a Rachmaninoff prelude while Midler dresses him for a waltz together. Midler sings "Hello in There" while sitting with clown Emmett Kelly. Midler and The Harlettes perform a medley that includes "Do You Want to Dance?" and "Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy." Commercials deleted.
