GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATER: BILL (TV)
Summary
A drama based on a true story about a mentally retarded man, Bill Sackter, who is befriended by a young documentary filmmaker named Barry Morrow. Barry visits the institution where Bill spent most of his life. When Barry gets a new job, Bill is despondent over the relocation of his new friend. Barry brings Bill back to Iowa City and a new life. Closes with footage of the real-life Bill and his visit to the White House.
