Highlights of this salute to the music of George and Ira Gershwin, titled "'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous, 'S Gershwin," include the following: Lemmon with dramatized vignettes of George Gershwin's early career; Leslie Uggams, Robert Guillaume, Larry Kert, and Linda Bennett with songs; Uggams with "Someone to Watch over Me"; Fred Astaire with a medley including "Lady Be Good"; Astaire and Lemmon singing; Ethel Merman with "I Got Rhythm"; pianist Peter Nero with a concert medley including "Rhapsody in Blue"; piano selections, performed both by host Jack Lemmon and by Nero, that include "Swanee" and George Gershwin's piano preludes; Leslie Uggams singing "Of Thee I Sing"; Larry Kert and Linda Bennett with songs; Uggams with "Summertime"; Robert Guillaume singing "Bess"; Nero playing "I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'"; Lemmon singing "It Ain't Necessarily So"; Uggams and Bennett with "I'm on My Way"; and the ensemble with "Embraceable You."
