
TEXACO STAR THEATER {STARRING MILTON BERLE} {THE GOLDBERGS} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedy/variety programs hosted by Milton Berle. In this program, Berle is joined by Gertrude Berg and Arlene McQuade, who recreate the roles of Molly and Rosalie Goldberg of the television series "The Goldbergs." Molly asks Berle to take her daughter Rosalie to the prom because she's been stood up. Complications arise when Rosalie develops a crush on Berle. Berle tries to get off the hook by telling Rosalie that he's in love with his secretary, Max, creating further problems when Max overhears the conversation. Other highlights include a performance of "Hello Sunshine, Goodbye Rain" by Norman Brooks, and Berle performing "Me and My Shadow." Includes commercials, announced by ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson and his dummy, Danny O'Day.
