F TROOP: SCOURGE OF THE WEST {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

The premiere in this comedy series about the soldiers of F-Troop, stationed at Fort Courage in post-Civil War Missouri. In this episode, bumbling Private Wilton Parmenter is promoted to captain and put in charge of the fort after he accidentally leads a charge on the enemy in the closing days of the war. When he arrives at Fort Courage, he meets Sergeant O'Rourke and Corporal Agarn, two schemers who have a secret and profitable pact with the neighboring Hekawi Indians. Captain Parmenter tells them that a government official will soon be arriving to inspect the troops. O'Rourke and Agarn, who have been falsifying reports, claiming that they are constantly under attack, make a deal with the Hekawi Tribe to stage an attack where no one will get hurt. On the day of inspection, Indians advance on the fort, but unbeknownst to the troops, it is not the Hekawis, but the brutal Shugs, who aim to kill. Wrangler Jane, the resourceful proprietor of the post exchange, saves the day. Includes commercials.
