Summary

One in this series of comedy/variety programs. Highlights of this program include: Berle jokes about horror movies, drive-in movies, and popular music; Berle gives his version of how the record business discovers a new sound as he portrays a big talent agent named Barney Big Mouth who launches the career of a singer named Clem, portrayed by Red Skelton; Clem records his smash hit, "Duhh! That's Love" with assistance from Barney Big Mouth, who helps Clem to sing by making good use of a few baseball bats; Billie May makes a cameo appearance; and The Kingston Trio sings "Tom Dooley." Includes commercials. (This is a black-and-white copy of a color telecast.) This program contains minor technical problems. This represents the best copy of this program currently available to the Museum.

("The Kraft Music Hall," a variety program hosted by Milton Berle and sponsored by Kraft Foods, aired on NBC from 1958 to 1959. From 1959 to 1963 Kraft continued to sponsor musical variety programs under a variety of titles associated with their hosts such as Perry Como and Dave King. "The Kraft Music Hall" returned from 1967 to 1971 hosted by a different celebrity guest each week.)
