
GREEN ACRES: A STAR NAMED ARNOLD IS BORN {PART 1 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Part one of a two-part episode in this comedy series about Oliver and Lisa Douglas, a wealthy couple who leave their Park Avenue penthouse in New York City to live on a run-down farm near the small town of Hooterville. In this episode, Lisa attends the town's annual play and watches a local pig named Arnold Ziffel portray a police dog. Impressed by Arnold's acting skills, she calls her friend, Boris Fedor, an important Hollywood producer, and asks him to make Arnold a star. Unfortunately, Arnold's owner does not have the money to pay for the pig's traveling expenses to Hollywood. Members of Hooterville's commerce committee decide to have a telethon to raise money so that Arnold's dream of stardom can come true. Commercials deleted.
