DYNASTY: THE AFTERMATH {SIXTH SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this night-time serial about the wealthy Carrington family of Denver, Colorado. In this episode, wedding guests emerge from the church after an attempted massacre by anti-monarchist rebel forces during the wedding of Amanda Carrington and Prince Michael of Moldavia. It is immediately learned that Lady Ashley is dead, and Yuri, the leader of the Moldavian rebels, informs the survivors that the king is badly injured; that Alexis has been taken away; and that they will all be taken back to America by plane. The prince learns that his trusted Minister of the Interior, Warnick, has joined the rebels. Warnick tells the newlyweds that they will be executed if they do not leave Moldavia with the guests. The Minister detains Krystle and attempts to use her to force Blake into a business agreement with Moldavia. When she refuses to be involved, he has her placed in a dungeon. In addition, Luke dies, and Blake tries to comfort the grieving Steven; Adam proposes to the injured Claudia; and Yuri announces that the king is dead and ridicules the prince when Michael orders him, as the new king, to call off the rebellion. As Dex and Blake search for their missing wives, Krystle fights off Yuri's advances in the dungeon. When the survivors convene at the airport, Dominique, Dex, Krystle, and Alexis are all missing. The Minister tells Dominique that he wants her as his mistress; Blake and the newly released Dex decide to devise a plan to save Alexis and Krystle; and Krystle escapes and learns that the king is still alive, only to be caught and thrown back in the dungeon. Meanwhile, in New York City, Sammy Jo hatches a plot to remove Krystle as guardian of her father's estate by hiring an actress who is Krystle's double to impersonate her in Denver. In Los Angeles, Fallon sees a photo of Miles Colby in a newspaper and goes to meet him because his last name triggers a faint memory. Includes commercials, promos, and an "ABC News Brief" with Brit Hume. This program is closed-captioned.
