DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, THE: WHAT'S IN A MIDDLE NAME? (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedy programs about the personal and professional life of Rob Petrie, the head comedy writer for television's "Alan Brady Show." When Ritchie discovers his birth certificate and finds out that his middle name is Rosebud, Rob has a lot of explaining to do. In flashbacks we learn that everyone in Rob and Laura's families had different favorite names, and arguments arose over which name Rob and Laura would pick for their child. When Rob finally explains to Ritchie that Rosebud is not just a silly middle name but seven middle names combined, Ritchie is thrilled and comes up with an interesting middle name for his own future son. Includes commercials.
