T. J. HOOKER: THE TRIAL (TV)

Summary

One in this police drama series about the lives of Sgt. T. J. Hooker and his partner, Officer Vince Romano. In this episode, Officer Romano and Officer Briggs get shot while on duty during a robbery. Romano and Briggs are convinced that Briggs' partner froze and did not back them up, so they bring her up on charges. In an attempt to get at the truth, Hooker agrees to be the accused officer's defense counsel, earning himself the cold shoulder treatment from the rest of the force. Even Romano is angry at Hooker because he feels that his partner is betraying him. Hooker perseveres, however, and eventually brings the truth to light. Meanwhile, the officers track down the shooter and all others involved in the robbery. Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
