Summary
One in this series of late-night talk shows hosted by David Letterman. On this program, driven by the unbearable heat, Letterman and his staff broadcast from the fourteenth floor of their office building. Guests include ditzy actress Teri Garr and complaining comedian Richard Lewis. Highlights include the following: Letterman gives a personal tour of the offices and introduces members of the crew; Garr talks about getting old, her new movie "After Hours," the plane ride to New York, an upcoming television movie in which she is starring, and how she promised to take a shower in Dave's office but has gone back on her word; the show has pizza delivered to the office; Letterman and Garr go to another office to view tapes of Stupid Pet Tricks that never made it to the show; Lewis introduces his mother before he sits with Letterman; Lewis talks about the way he dresses, all the traveling involved with being a stand-up comic, what it was like to use a Waterpic for the first time, and his current relationship status. Finally, Garr agrees to get in the shower and Letterman is thrilled. Commercials deleted.
