BREAKING BAD: NO MAS {THIRD SEASON PREMIERE} (TV)

Summary

One in this drama series about a chemistry teacher in Albuquerque who "manufactures" methamphetamine to support his family after being diagnosed with cancer. In this premiere episode for the third season, a string of Mexican villagers crawl on their stomachs to a shrine that houses the deity of death. The Cousins drive to the site in their Mercedes and then join the procession, hanging a drawing of Walt by the statue.

In Albuquerque, news anchors report on the plane collision and 167 casualties caused by "distracted air traffic controller" Donald, still grieving over Jane. Hearing the reports, an addled Walt consequently puts his bundled cash atop his grill and lights it before having second thoughts, dumping the blaze into the pool. Later, Hank stops by the house and helps Walt pack up his belongings, including the recovered cash, and offers his hope that he and Skyler will reunite.

Across town, Skyler meets with her divorce attorney, who tells her to move back into the house with Flynn and Holly. Later, Skyler is annoyed when Flynn insists that Walt give him a ride to school. Elsewhere, Jesse listens at the rehab facility as his counselor lectures about "self-acceptance." At Jesse's urging, the counselor describes his self-hatred and guilt over having accidentally killed his six-year-old daughter while high on drugs.

At school, Walt is welcomed back by the faculty -- at least until they hear his feelings during an assembly about the crash, during which Walt tactlessly advises students to "look on the bright side." When returning home, Flynn lashes out at Skyler as Marie, also curious about the reasons behind the split, fails to calm them down. Sklyler subsequently visits Walt's motel room, where she says demands a divorce in return for not telling Hank about the drug dealing -- and Walt staying away from the family.

Walt picks Jesse up from rehab and tries to make excuses for the plane tragedy, but Jesse claims to be facing his demons and acknowledges himself as "the bad guy." Walt then follows up on his text message from Los Pollos for a meeting with Gus. He informs Gus that he's no longer making drugs, despite Gus's offer of three million dollars for three months of work.

The Cousins arrive at a desolate farmhouse and exchange their upscale attire for work clothes, then leave their Mercedes with the awestruck family. The men are smuggled into Texas on a truck with a group of Mexicans, hidden within bales of hay. After one of the passengers discovers their identities, the Cousins kill the Mexicans, as well as the driver. They turn the truck into an inferno before calming walking away. Commercials deleted.
