JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! {AMY SCHUMER, DJ KHALED, LCD SOUNDSYSTEM} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of live late-night talk shows hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. This episode, filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City, features actress Amy Schumer, record producer DJ Khaled, and musical guest LCD Soundsystem.

In his opening monologue, Kimmel discusses his origins in Brooklyn and the impressively speedy construction of the show's set. He also introduces regular sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez and bandleader Paul Shaffer, formerly of "Late Night with David Letterman," who is conducting a "mini-residency" during Kimmel's short stay in Brooklyn.

Kimmel then introduces a pre-taped segment in which he, Shaffer, and Flavor Flav of Public Enemy drive around Brooklyn in a cab and surprise riders, including a harassed grandmother, a synchronized swimmer, and an exasperated Biff Henderson, Letterman's former stage manager.

The first guest, Schumer, takes the stage and chats with Kimmel about her Broadway debut in "Meteor Shower," written by Steve Martin; the challenges of a demanding theater schedule; the "constant feedback" on her appearance from Internet commentators; touring with her half-brother, bass clarinetist Jason Stein, and embarrassing incidents from their youth; the perils of sharing feminine products with other women; and her longtime friendship with Martin, including her attendance at a star-studded dinner at his home.

Next, DJ Khaled sits down to discuss his future jet skiing adventure with Schumer, which she purchased for charity; his upcoming honor, Vh1's "Save the Music" Gala, for his efforts to bring music to schools; his platinum tenth album "Grateful," on which his one-year-old son Asahd is credited as an executive producer; Asahd's first birthday party, at which Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs was a guest; baby gifts from Kimmel; and his recent appearance at a Miami concert benefiting the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.

Finally, LCD Soundsystem performs "Tonite" from their album "American Dream." Includes commercials and promos.
