Summary
One in this comedic serial about two families, the affluent Tates and their working-class relatives, the Campbells.
In this episode, Chester begs a furious Jessica not to oust him from the home, protesting that his womanizing is "a sickness" that he cannot really help – and she agrees to let him live in the guest room until he is no longer "contagious." Jodie is unable to find a suitable nanny, and Mary urges him to simply move back home, where Wendy can be looked after by family. After a romantic evening in bed, Burt frets that he is not as "satisfactory" to Mary as Alien Burt was. Mary, pointing out that his abduction was "her ordeal too," assures him that his doppelganger could not possibly match up, as she only truly loves her real husband.
Billy's eighteenth birthday party arrives, and Dutch obsesses over Eunice's possible dalliance with Eric as Jodie finally agrees to move back home. Billy is nervous and excited when Leslie, his new girlfriend – who is also his teacher – arrives to meet his family. She announces that she has quit her job at the high school so that they can finally be together. The Major, naturally, is confused by their relationship, and the pair decides to quietly exit the party as family members begin making dramatic scenes, as usual. Commercials deleted.
