NATIONAL COUNCIL ON ALCOHOLISM: JASON ROBARDS
{ADVERTISING COUNCIL EXHIBITION: HEALTH}
Summary
In this public service announcement for the National Council on Alcoholism, actor Jason Robards is shown making an appearance at an awards ceremony. In a voice-over, he admits that he is an alcoholic. He explains that he thought only losers became alcoholics until he learned that it is a disease that could have killed him. He adds that he doesn't drink anymore and urges others with the same problem to seek treatment before it's too late. "I'm living proof," he says, "you don't have to die for a drink."
