HOME DEPOT: BANNER {ADWEEK: BEST SPOTS OF
FEBRUARY 1998}

Summary

In this commercial for Home Depot, a little Japanese girl is shown walking down the street in a small town with her mother when she sees a banner advertising the Winter Olympics in Nagano. In her imagination, the Japanese characters on the banner start to swirl and take the shape of downhill ski racers twisting and turning their way down a snow-covered mountain. "The magic has returned," the announcer says, "and we're proud to be a part of it all." Slogan (supered): "The Home Depot. Proud sponsor of the 1998 U.S. Olympic Team."
