DISNEY'S GUMMI BEARS WINNIE THE POOH HOUR {A.K.A. THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH}: ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WISHING WELL (TV)
Summary
One in this block of two animated programs, one based on gummi bear candies and the other based on the "Winnie-the-Pooh" children's books by A. A. Milne.
In the second program, the Hundred-Acre Woods friends head for a wishing well, where Pooh requests more birthdays. Tigger realizes that he has never celebrated a birthday and possibly does not have one, so his friends decide to "give him one" on that very day. Tigger excitedly prepares for his first-ever birthday party, at which he hopes to receive a banana split, a pogo stick and a variety of other gifts. His friends gather for the hastily assembled shindig and surprise him with a variety of presents. When he receives none of his deepest desires, Tigger sadly wonders if his made-up birthday is valid after all.
Determined to please his friend, Pooh decides to give Tigger the moon as a present and requests that it "come down" from the sky. He then finds that it has apparently done so on the surface of the wishing-well water. Pooh tumbles into the well; when Tigger, Piglet and Rabbit venture into the well after him, they find themselves in a magical "Wishland" where all of Tigger's desires come true. Overjoyed, Tigger makes extravagant wishes for his friends, but Rabbit quickly warns him to save his last wish to get them back home. Though Tigger is briefly tempted to remain in the magical land forever, he agrees that he has had a very memorable "first" birthday; he then wishes them out of the well. Later, he is delighted to find that he has received a pogo stick after all. Commercials deleted.
