GET SMART: IRONHAND (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about a bumbling secret agent.

Max and The Chief meet with a contact, Marco, who informs them that KAOS has been acquired by a huge multi-national conglomerate, IH Industries. IH Industries is run by a man named Ironhand, who has aspirations of world domination. Marco is shot before he can tell Max any more. Later, Max meets with The Chief, whose office has been ransacked. The Chief believes KAOS was trying to pilfer the plans to the AAAMM, or “Anti-Anti-Anti-Missile-Missile.” He sends Max and 99 to retrieve the AAAMM plans so they can be transported to a safer location.

Max and 99 go to a baby carriage store, where they receive instructions from Agent 44. They acquire a baby carriage constructed by CONTROL armed with various highly destructive weapons. They then contact various CONTROL agents to get the three parts of the plans. Ironhand watches Max and 99 and vows to get the plans to the AAAMM for himself. Before Max and 99 can escape, KAOS agents find them. In attempting to store the carriage in his car, Max accidentally activates the carriage’s weapons, leaving the car a smoldering ruin. However, Max manages to escape anyway.

The Chief instructs them to go to the airport, where they will engage in “Operation: Baby Buggy Switch.” Once there, various CONTROL agents swap carriages amongst themselves in an effort to confuse the enemy. However, Max is cornered alone by Ironhand, who demands he hand over the plans. To Max’s misfortune, he ended up with the carriage containing the plans. Ironhand chases him around and seems to have the upper hand until Max tricks him into knocking himself unconscious, thus saving the day. Commercials deleted.
