Summary
One in this series of musical variety programs spotlighting pop music performers. In this program, guest host Soupy Sales opens the program with a performance of "Ballin' the Jack" with the Hullabaloo dancers. Sales also introduces musical acts, performs with the group We Five, and does a song-and-dance number of "Meet the Mets" with his teen-age sons Tony and Hunt. The Sales brothers also perform a version of the Beatles' "Day Tripper" with their own group, Tony and the Tigers. At the program's conclusion, the following week's host Paul Anka strikes Sales in the face with a pie. Musical performances include the following: "Good Lovin'" (the Young Rascals), "I Know Something" (Lada Edmund, Jr.), "Day Tripper" (Tony and the Tigers), "Meet the Mets" (Soupy, Tony, and Hunt Sales), "Daydream" (We Five with Soupy Sales), and "Diddy Wah Diddy" (the Remains).
