Summary

One in this series of interview programs hosted by John Callaway. In this decade-end special, Callaway discusses the passing of the 1970s with a panel comprised of the following members: Linda Witt of People Magazine; Ruth Adams, editor of the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists; Jim Hoge, editor-in-chief of the Chicago Sun Times; author Eugene Kennedy; and broadcast journalist Warner Saunders. Daley, and predictions about Chicago's political future; the ambiguous state of race relations in the 1970s; the growing prominence of Latinos as a rights-seeking minority group; the necessity of rehabilitating politics; and the state of women's issues, such as status in the workplace, as the 1970s come to an end.
