LAVERNE & SHIRLEY: SHOTGUN WEDDING {PART 2 OF 2} {FIFTH SEASON PREMIERE} {CROSSOVER EPISODE WITH HAPPY DAYS} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about two young working women, following their humorous adventures from the 1950s through the 1960s.
In this episode, continuing a crossover storyline from "Happy Days," Laverne and Shirley move into their "luxurious" quarters at Roscoe's Wigwams. They are joined by Frank and Edna, who don't relish the thought of roughing it. Carmine lugs Laverne and Shirley's luggage before Lenny and Squiggy appear. Shirley is annoyed by all the planned fishing and hunting.
Later, Shirley accidentally takes Laverne to a septic tank as opposed to the lake. Then, a tired Richie arrives to explain his predicament. Laverne, Shirley, and Richie return to Vernon's farm to pretend that the girls are engaged to Richie and Fonzie. There, they're shocked to see Fonzie tied up and riding a donkey.
When Inga and Helga vow to fight for their men, Vernon handles things by having Helga and Inga battle Laverne and Shirley in a "hoedown showdown." Laverne and Shirley struggle at first but eventually figure out a way to garner a victory by "fighting dirty." Afterward, Vernon calls for a preacher so Fonz and Richie can marry their "fiancees" right then and there. However, before the four are pronounced man and wife, Lenny, Squiggy, Carmine, Frank, and Edna arrive to aid their friends.
Finally, Fonz has it out with Vernon, teaching him how to trust his daughters. Laverne and Shirley don't want to leave emptyhanded though, needing one final thing: a group "wedding" portrait. Includes commercials.
