ALL IN THE FAMILY: EDITH'S PROBLEM (TV)
Summary
One in this series of comedies about a working-class household presided over by the opinionated Archie Bunker. In this episode, Edith begins to go through her "change of life" -- menopause. Archie, Mike, and Gloria become alarmed when Edith starts behaving very strangely: she is uncharacteristically moody, seething with anger one moment and bursting into tears the next. When Gloria talks with Edith about the possibility of menopause, Edith is dismayed, feeling that menopause is the definitive sign of old age. After Edith visits a doctor to confirm her condition, the family resolves to be as supportive as possible. Despite Archie's best efforts at understanding, however, Edith becomes convinced that he thinks she is old and does not love her anymore. Commercials deleted.
