MIAMI VICE: DOWN FOR THE COUNT {PART 2 OF 2} (TV)
Summary
Part two of two. Continued from T:32481. One in this series of police dramas concerning Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, undercover detectives for the Miami vice squad. In this installment, Crockett and Tubbs pose as promoters of a sports satellite network in an effort to implicate Guzman, a ruthless gangster who runs a bookmaking operation. The second part begins with the funeral of Detective Zito, who was killed by Guzman for trying to protect the contract of his boxer friend Bobby Sykes. Crockett, Tubbs, and Switek gather in the station house and vow to avenge Zito's death and clear his name, which has been tainted by an Internal Affairs report. Meanwhile, Guzman continues to reap the benefits of Sykes's ascendance into contender status. When Crockett and Tubbs hear from the FBI that a vengeful Vegas mob boss is on his way to Miami to reclaim the action he has lost to Guzman, they decide to use the inevitable confrontation to their advantage. Commercials deleted.
