ON THE ISSUES: SEXUAL POLITICS AT WORK (TV)
Summary
One in this series about the ethical questions businesses must face. In this program, Fred Graham moderates a panel which considers a hypothetical situation in which an employer wishes to ask an employee out on a date. In an attempt to discern the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behavior in the workplace, the panelists assume the various roles in a number of hypothetical workplace scenarios, and offer their opinions about the best way to handle such situations. The panelists include: Norm Blake, chairman, CEO, and president of USF&G Corporation; Max Sherman, dean of the LBJ School of Public Affairs; Nat Hentoff, columnist for the "Village Voice"; Lynn Sherr, ABC News correspondent; Roger Pilon, director of the Center for Constitutional Studies at the Cato Institute; Julianne Malveaux, columnist; Roxanne Barton Conlin, president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Harriett Woods, president of the National Women's Political Caucus; Alex J. Mandl, CFO and group executive of AT&T; Robert Adams, president and CEO of Xerox Technology Ventures; Maria Elena Torano, president and CEO of META; Linda Chavez, a fellow at the Manhattan Institute; Mary Marshall, a partner at Stoneman, Chandler, and Miller; J. Bruce Llewellyn, chairman of the Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Company; and Michelle Hooper, president of Caremark International Business Group.
