MY SO-CALLED LIFE: WHY JORDAN CAN'T READ (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about the life of Angela Chase, an angst-ridden fifteen-year-old girl, and her family and friends. In this episode, Angela feels that she and Jordan Catalano are edging toward a serious romance. While on a field trip at an art museum, Angela gives Rayanne a letter expressing her feelings for Jordan. Rayanne swears that she will not show it to anyone, but while flirting with a museum guard, Rayanne loses the letter. The next day, Jordan returns the letter to Angela, claiming that he found the letter at the museum, but did not read it. Angela assumes that he is mocking her and begins to argue with him. The argument comes to an abrupt end when Angela discovers that Jordan has trouble reading. He invites her to a band practice where he plays her a song entitled "Red." Angela believes the song is about her because of her crimson-dyed hair. Later, Jordan drives her home and kisses her goodnight. Angela is sure that this is the beginning of a wonderful romance and invites him over to meet her parents. This upsets her friend Brian, who is desperately trying to gain some attention from Angela. Additionally, Patti fears that she is pregnant, while Danielle, Angela's younger sister, remains infatuated with Brian. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
