Summary
One in this series of late-night talk shows hosted by Conan O'Brien. On this program, the guests include the Academy Award-winning actress Shelley Winters, talk-show host Bob Berkowitz, and the music group The Wedding Present. Highlights include: O'Brien opens with a monologue in which he mentions the hype over the new movies opening over the weekend and a judge's decision over the distribution of Penthouse magazine; then O'Brien and his sidekick Andy Richter get caught up in the excitement surrounding the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony and journey outside to the skating rink to get a closer look; the first guest is Shelley Winters, who offers her advice to the younger generation about what sex is really supposed to be all about and discusses the athletic ability she had to display in the movie "The Poseiden Adventure" during one particular underwater scene; she then demonstrates that ability by holding her breath for as long as she can; Andy Richter competes in the "7th Annual Peekaboo Championship" and makes it all the way to the finals; the next guest is Bob Berkowitz, who discusses why the topic of his talk show every night of the week is sex, how he gets people to tell the truth about their sex lives on the show, whether senior citizens still have active sex lives, a recent sex survey taken in America which may not have all the facts straight because of people's attitudes towards sex, and whether women are attracted to men who host sex talk shows; next, the members of The Wedding Present perform the song "My Heart Says Yeah" from their most recent album.
