GENERAL HOSPITAL {STONE'S DEATH; AIDS STORYLINE} (TV)
Summary
One in this series of daytime serial dramas centering on the professional and private lives of the doctors and nurses at General Hospital. In this episode, Robin wakes up next to Stone and checks to see if he's still alive, just as she has been doing since the advanced stages of AIDS have set in. Unsure at first, Robin prepares for the worst, but Stone wakes up -- much to Robin's delight. Stone has just about lost his vision and needs Robin to use her eyes for him. The two young lovers begin to fantasize about visiting their favorite romantic places and what it would be like to make love to one another again. Throughout Port Charles, Stone appears to be on everyone's mind, and they all know it is just a matter of time before AIDS ends his life. Stone begs Robin to go over to the window in the light; he gets his vision back for a split second and sees her for the last time. Later, word of Stone's death spreads quickly, and Robin wants to have a memorial service as soon as possible that will celebrate his life. Commercials deleted.
