Summary
Tape three of three of this documentary that examines the progression of anti-Semitism throughout the ages. In this program, the following individuals discuss the conflict between the people of Islam and the Zionists of Israel: Bernard Lewis, a professor at Princeton University; Sheik Hamed El Bitawi, a Palestinian Muslim and Brotherhood leader; Jewish Fundamentalist leader Rabbi Meir Kahane; Radwa Ashour, professor of English literature at Ayn Shams University in Cairo; Rabbi Arthur Hertzberg, professor of history at Columbia University; Radwan Abu Ayyash, the chairman of the Arab Journalists Association; Dr. Amatzia Baram from the University of Haifa; filmmaker Salim Fattal; Daniella Boccara, a former resident of Tunis; Egyptian Fundamentalist writer Safinez Kazem; Medhat Maklad, the translator of "Hoax of the Twentieth Century"; Israeli Television Arab Affairs specialist Ehud Ya'ari; Aziz Al-Azmeh, professor of Islamic studies at the University of Exeter; Mohamed Sid Ahmed, a leading Egyptian author and journalist; Dr. Muhammad Hallaj, the director of the Palestine Research Center in Washington; Alan Dershowitz, a professor at Harvard Law School; Hanan Mikhail-Ashrawi, professor of English at Bir-Zeit University at the West Bank; and Richard L. Rubenstein, professor of religion at Florida State University. They comment on the following topics, among others: criticism of Israel; the fight over Palestine; Israeli occupation of the Western Bank; the existence of Israel; the importance of a place where Jews will always be welcome; the human rights of the Palestinians; Jerusalem as a holy city; the Islamic view of the Jew; the Christian view of the Jew; how Arabs became allies with Nazi Germany; the 1941 Baghdad pogrom; the first Arab-Israeli war; the Moslem view of the Jews; the book "Hoax of the Twentieth Century"; Jews as a scapegoat for world problems; Arab propaganda; Zionism; the reasons for an anti-Israeli position; the slogans of the Arab states; why anti-Semitism has existed since the state of Israel was established; criticism of Israel; and dehumanization of the Jews and the Palestinians in the Middle East. Also included is footage of the following: the Al-Khober Mosque in Khober, Saudi Arabia; fighting between Palestinians and Israelis; the United Nations declaration on May 11, 1949, that admitted Israel to the UN; Holocaust survivors making their way overseas; the arrival of refugees into Israel from other Middle Eastern countries; the Six Day War; and downtown Cairo.
