SABRINA, THE TEENAGE WITCH: DUMMY FOR LOVE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about a teenage witch named Sabrina who lives with her two aunts, who are also witches, and their talking cat, Salem. In this episode, Sabrina's boyfriend, Harvey, fails an exam after having spent all of his free time at football practice. Sabrina decides that the school places too much emphasis on sports and writes an editorial voicing her complaint. The vice principal, Mr. Kent, is furious and orders Sabrina to write a retraction, but she refuses to do so. Mr. Kent visits Sabrina's aunts to discuss the situation, but when he lays eyes on Aunt Zelda, he is so overwhelmed with love that he forgets his reason for the visit. Zelda, of course, has no interest in Mr. Kent. The next day, Sabrina prevents Mr. Kent from handing her a detention slip by claiming that Zelda is fond of him and implying that punishing Sabrina would jeopardize his chances for a date. Later, Mr. Kent phones to ask Zelda to dinner, and Sabrina, uncertain of what to do, alters her voice to sound like her aunt and agrees to the date. Ultimately, Sabrina must find a spell that will force her aunt to keep the date. Meanwhile, Valerie has fallen for a student who does not even notice her, and Sabrina tries to remedy the situation with the help of Cupid. Includes commercials, promos, and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
