Summary
One in this satirical soap opera series about Mary Hartman, a housewife from Fernwood, Ohio. In this episode, Mary tells Martha about her problems with Tom and about her possible venereal disease. Cathy announces that George is going to run for union office. Tom goes to the Haggers home and asks Charlie whether he may move in temporarily. At the hospital, Charlie signs a form giving permission for Loretta's operation. Mary visits Loretta and then goes to the library to get books on venereal disease. Cathy visits Mary; Charlie comes over just as the doctor telephones to say that Loretta's prognosis is not good. Commercials deleted.
