WORKING: CREATIVE MATT (TV)

Summary

One in the comedy series about an idealistic college graduate struggling to succeed in his first job. In this episode, Matt and Jimmy use the internet to look for single women, with Matt not realizing that he's actually connecting to Evelyn. The next day, Matt's co-workers wonder why he is wearing such a loud tie. Abby and John explain how Tim has a demeaning label for all of them. Later, Tim invites everyone to a party at his house on the weekend, which the staffers begrudgingly agree to attend. Tim is then called in to speak with his superior, Greg Larson, who says Tim is a "liability" to the company due to his displays of "racism, sexism, and bigotry." Greg gives him one last opportunity to change his behavior. Matt is shocked that anyone would yell at Tim, until Abby explains the "corporate food chain." At Tim's party, Matt can't get a date and brings a male friend, Sam. After watching Matt and Sam playing around, Tim wonders if they're a gay couple. Then, the other staffers opt to play a joke on the soused Tim by stating that Matt is indeed gay. The next day at work, Matt's co-workers wonder if Tim will recall what they told him. He does, and forced to be accepting of others, Tim feigns having no problem with a gay employee. Tim tells Greg about the gay Matt, later wondering if Greg is gay when he shows interest in Matt's specifics. Greg actually has a gay son, Crispin, and asks Tim if he can have Matt take him out. On their date, Matt doesn't realize Crispin's orientation while Crispin not only believes Matt is gay but is attracted to him. Eventually, the truth comes to light. The next day, Matt comes into work, faking that he pushed Crispin out of the car after finding out he was gay. Matt is furious when he learns what his co-workers told Tim. After hearing about Matt's heterosexuality from Crispin, Tim is called to Greg's office. There Greg rants at Tim once again. To make amends, Tim is forced to take Crispin out to a gay bar for "a good time." Commercials deleted. This program is closed-captioned.
