SPORTS NIGHT: APRIL IS THE CRUELEST MONTH (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the staff members of a high-pressure, nightly cable program covering sports news. In this episode, Dana becomes stressed out when she learns that the network is planning to cut back on the upcoming "Sports Night" coverage of the summer Olympic Games. Executives explain that "Sports Night" will simply recycle footage shot by another sports crew in Australia, and Dana realizes that some of her crew members may be in jeopardy of losing their jobs. She struggles to break the news to Natalie, whose job as an assistant producer is considered a "vanity" position by the network. Dan continues to sulk around the office as his ill-timed outburst of insults to Casey has rendered their friendship rife with tension. To distract himself, Dan decides to join forces with Jeremy and hold a Passover seder. Although Dan wants to keep the seder a small affair, Jeremy decides he will invite the staff gentiles and turn the seder into a major theatrical production, complete with a lengthy script and the distribution of roles. Commercials deleted.
