AS THE WORLD TURNS {LILY AND ROSE SWITCH IDENTITIES} (TV)
Summary
One in this long-running daytime serial, set in the midwestern town of Oakdale. In this episode, Jake and Lucinda notice Emily, the editor of the National Intruder, dining with one of Lucinda's big advertising clients, Arnie Heller. At home, Kim receives official notification that Denise has reported Andy dead. Lily gets a fake diamond made so the real one can be appraised without Simon's knowledge. Elsewhere, Tom tells Lisa to withold revenge on Emily for the tabloid news story she has published; instead Lisa assigns Julia the job of digging up juicy dirt on Emily. Lily comes up with a plan to fool Simon: she and Rose can switch identities, and Rose can sneak away to have the diamond appraised. Rose is hesitant to comply because she has to dance in a show -- and if she doesn't make it back from the appraiser in time, Lily will have to go on. To get some dirt on Emily, Lisa and Julia plot to steal her briefcase: Lisa distracts Emily while Julia does the dirty work. Back at Kim's home, John and Bob show up and try to convince Kim to accept Andy's death. Lily and Rose successfully switch identities, and Rose leaves to get the diamond appraised. With one minute left to showtime, and Rose nowhere in sight, Lily is forced to go on. Commercials deleted.
