Summary
Nick Park had little idea that his graduation project for Britain's National Film and Television School -- a whimsical short clay animation film-in-progress called "A Grand Day Out" -- would lead to worldwide affection for two endearing plasticine characters named Wallace and Gromit. Wallace, the absentminded inventor, and Gromit, his levelheaded, slightly skeptical pet dog, have delighted British television audiences with humor steeped in the tradition of the English eccentric one minute, and reminiscent of the zany, broadly physical antics of silent film comedies the next. This ninety-minute screening package features three films starring Wallace and Gromit, two of which won Academy Awards, plus British commercials and Park's acclaimed short "Creature Comforts."
