MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW, THE: RHODA, THE BEAUTIFUL (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Mary Richards, a single career woman working in a television newsroom. In this installment, Rhoda has finally shed the twenty pounds she has been hoping to lose throughout her adult life -- and she is still insecure about her appearance. Mary tries to get her friend to feel good about the way she looks, but Rhoda cannot visualize herself as beautiful. To make matters worse (or perhaps better?), she is chosen as one of the finalists in a beauty pageant at her department store. "They just needed someone to make the other contestants look good," jokes Rhoda. As the contest approaches, Rhoda begins to get nervous. Commercials deleted.
