NADA PERSONAL {NOTHING PERSONAL} {SPANISH} (TV)

Summary

One is this talk show where the hosts freely discuss entertainment news and current affairs. Hosts Nuria Roca and Llum Barrera begin with the program "Supervivientes" ("Survivors"), set in Seychelles. (This is a Spanish version of the American reality show of the same title.) Using footage from the show, Roca and Barrera summarize and comment on recent events and the ongoing competition, including the following: the recent expulsion of Rosy, who was voted off because of Adriana, another contestant from her team; the hostile relationship between Francesca and Ricardo; other participants' opinions about the contest; a possible love affair brewing between Fredy and Mar’a, although they are currently on different teams. In the next segment, Maribel Cas‡n presents celebrity news, beginning with the recent release of the movie "Vanilla Sky"; images of PenŽlope Cruz, Tom Cruise, Alejandro Amen‡bar (who directed the Spanish version of the movie), and Nicole Kidman (ex-wife of Tom Cruise) are shown. Other current stories include the following: Roc’o Durcal's recovery from an operation, with comments from her daughter, Sheila Morales; Chabeli Iglesias and Christian Altava's secret marriage, apparently because of her pregnancy; the Dutchess of Alba's appearance at a fundraiser in support of multiple sclerosis; a party for the Spanish jetset organized by Carmen Mart’nez Bordiu; bullfighter JosŽ Ortega Cano's (husband of singer Roc’o Jurado) plans to undergo knee surgery, now that the bullfighting season is over. Next, the program goes to a Telecinco news studio where reporter Carme Chaparro gives an update on the situation in Afghanistan, the bombing of a Red Cross building, and new anthrax cases in the United States. After a short pause (with no commercials), they return to the studio for more entertainment and celebrity news: famous presenter Arancha del Sol and her fiancŽ, bullfighter Finito de C—rdoba, are preparing the last details of their wedding; Ana Botella, the wife of Spanish president JosŽ Mar’a Aznar, is leading a campaign for the Association of Messengers of Peace, which works for the adoption of children from El Salvador with mental or physical disabilities; TV presenter Jesœs Hermida and news reporter AndrŽs Abelasturi accompany Botella in the campaign; Carmen Sevilla, a famous actress and TV host, celebrates her seventy-first birthday in a town in M‡laga with her family, leaving Madrid for the first time since her husband«s death the previous year. A report on actors, musicians, and other celebrities focuses on the following: news of Meg Ryan and Russell Crowe after their separation; Rudolph Giuliani receives the highest honorary title for a foreigner from the Queen of England; Antonio Banderas records a song with Cuban singers Compay Segundo, Pablo MilanŽs and Silvio Rodr’guez; Sir Elton John performs at the Royal Variety Show with the Queen of England in attendance; Bob Dylan is stopped by security guards at his own concert and almost misses the concert; Robbie Williams makes a video with Nicole Kidman, rumors circulate of a possible affair between the two. The last report of the program is about singer Marta S‡nchez and her possible new boyfriend Jesœs Cabanas.
