WIRE, THE: THE DETAIL (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic series about both sides of the Baltimore drug scene: the dealers and the law enforcement officers that go after them. This is the second episode in the series' first season, which focuses on the drug-running business operating out of the low-income tenements.
Gant, the witness who testified against D'Angelo, winds up being a murder case for Moreland. However, McNulty targets Avon, assuming that he must have ordered the murder in anger over Gant's testimony. McNulty and Moreland pick up D'Angelo for questioning and deceptively persuade him to write an "apology" to the victim's family. Meanwhile in "The Pit," Greggs gets some inside information courtesy of Bubbles. New team member Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski arrives and immediately raises Daniel's ire with his flashy incompetence. Pryzbylewski's idiocy gets him in a quagmire as he, Hauk, and Carver make their own moves by going to the projects to "bust heads," creating a riot instead among the Barksdale faithful.
