Summary

One in this dramatic series about Lorelai Gilmore, a thirty-something mother raising her teenage daughter Rory under the constant surveillance of her overbearing and very wealthy parents, Emily and Richard. In this episode, the Gilmores struggle with financial matters. Rory doesn't get any financial aid from Yale, preventing Lorelai from buying the Dragonfly Inn. Taking matters into her own hands, Rory decides to craft a deal with Richard and Emily. Also, Luke decides to cancel a trip with Nicole in light of something Lorelai tells him. The episode ends at the Chilton graduation, with valedictorian Rory giving her speech while a silent Jess tries to make contact with her. Commercials deleted.
