SUPERNATURAL: SCARECROW (TV)
Summary
One in this dramatic fantasy series about the adventures of two Kansas brothers who travel the country hunting deadly urban legends and evil spirits. In this episode, Sam and Dean are awakened by a phone call from their long-missing father, who tells them that they're in danger. He says that a demon may be pursuing them, one that is suspected in the disappearances of three couples in a small Indiana town. Dean agrees to go to Indiana to investigate, but Sam insists on trying to find their father in California. Upon reaching his destination, Dean finds the townspeople's actions suspicious, along with their claims of never having seen those who vanished. After being run out of town by the sheriff on bogus charges, Dean comes across a ghastly, scythe-carrying scarecrow tied to a tree in the woods. Thinking that he may have stumbled onto the demonic culprit, Dean lays a trap and awaits the resulting carnage. Meanwhile, Sam meets a beautiful young woman who takes an unusual interest in him while en route to California. However, all their paths are about to intersect in a shocking turn of events that reveals a most unexpected horror.
