Summary

The premiere of this irregularly scheduled documentary series that follows the underwater explorations of Jacques Cousteau and the crew of the Calypso. Narrated by Rod Serling and Cousteau, this program follows the Calypso crew as they depart from Monaco Harbor en route to the Red Sea and as they tag sharks in order to trace their migration patterns. The researchers perform a battery of tests on the sharks involving narcotics, pressure tolerance, and shark repellents, and observe and film the sharks at night.
