KING {PART 1 OF 3} (TV)
Summary
Part one of this three-part docudrama based on the life of civil rights leader the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fight to achieve equal rights for blacks through nonviolence. King meets and marries Coretta Scott in 1953 and comes to national prominence as he begins his quest for equal rights for blacks by organizing a boycott of public transportation in Montgomery, Alabama from 1955 to 1956. King continues his boycott of Montgomery's public transportation and accuses the FBI's Southern Division of racism. These accusations cause FBI director J. Edgar Hoover to begin an all-out campaign to discredit King. Commercials deleted.
