Summary
One in this series of irregularly scheduled documentaries. This program looks at the more than 200 Nazi war criminals living in America and the evidence that some were recruited, protected, and employed by the U.S. government after World War II. Among the alleged Nazis whose cases are examined are the following: Viorel Trifa, Romanian Orthodox bishop in Michigan and alleged member of the "Iron Guard"; Otto Ambros, chemist and former Nazi scientist; Walter P. Schreiber, doctor and Nazi germ warfare specialist; Mrs. Hermione Ryan; and Tscheri Soobzokow, an alleged war criminal who denies allegations. Included are interviews with Telford Taylor, counsel at the Nuremberg trials; Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal; Elie Wiesel; Rep. Elizabeth Holtzman (D-N.Y.); author Charles Allen; and William Colby, former head of the CIA. Includes commercials.
