Highlights of this program include the following: host Bob Paige introduces Helen Hayes, who presents Abbott with the Colgate Achievement in Entertainment Award; Pat Stanley and Jack Straw sing and dance "Her Is" from "The Pajama Game"; Edith Adams sings "It's Love, " and in a duet with herself, "Ohio" from "Wonderful Town"; Bob Fosse plays straight man to Nancy Walker as she sings "First Girl in the Second Row" from "Look, Ma, I'm Dancing"; John Raitt sings "Almost Like Being in Love" and "Stranger in Paradise"; Elaine Stritch and Russell Nype sing the countermelodies to "You're Just in Love" from "Call Me Madam"; Bob Fosse and Peter Gennaro dance to "Senors Loco" with original music by Roger Adams; Eddie Albert sings "This Can't Be Love" from "The Boys from Syracuse"; in a production number from "Damn Yankees," Rae Allen sings "Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo."; and Gwen Verdon introduces the conclusion of the second act of Thornton Wilder's "The Skin of Our Teeth," with Abbott and Hayes as Mr. and Mrs. Antrobus addressing the convention of mammals in Atlantic City. Includes commercials.
