Summary
One in this series of comedy programs which lampoons current television fare. Highlights of this program include the following: a sketch poking fun at recent network attempts to bring back the anthology format, with remakes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "The Twilight Zone," as well as Steven Spielberg's "Amazing Stories"; an endorsement-style commercial for the Joan Rivers School of Comedy, featuring a woman who uses her newfound comedic skills to host parties in her home; a promo for a new crime show called "Torah," featuring a "streetwise con turned two-fisted Orthodox rabbi"; a skit in which a group of ABC Network executives -- having acknowledged that stealing is their forte -- proceeds to pitch bizarre prospective copies of the hit shows of other networks; an Emmy Awards take-off in which a blonde bimbo actress accepts an award and proceeds with an interminable acceptance speech; a down-and-out chestnut vendor at Rockefeller Center -- who turns out to be none other than Fred Silverman -- recalls his fall from grace at NBC with such disasters as "Supertrain" and "Pink Lady"; a promo for a Civil War miniseries called "Far North and South of the Border."
