Summary
One in this live dramatic anthology series. In this autobiographical "comedy documentary," playwright George Axelrod appears personally to introduce the story of how the success of his first play, "The Seven Year Itch," affected his life. Axelrod, played by Art Carney following the author's introduction, reminisces over the past year with a bartender. The setting alternates from the present evening (opening night of Axelrod's second play) to one year earlier (when Axelrod and his friends were awaiting opening-night reviews of "The Seven Year Itch"), with comedic fantasies and events in the interim. Includes commercials and a promo for the following week's show, "Dry Run."
