Revisiting the original rivalry between Ralph Macchio’s “Daniel” and William Zabka’s “Johnny,” and transporting it three decades into the future with the original stars, proved an inspired, fun, and smart concept and helped propel the series premiere episode to over fifty-eight million views and universal critical acclaim.
