Paley’s 2022 Best of Cannes will highlight the best-of-the-best of Cannes Lions, with fresh perspectives from an array of experts, including some of the most influential media visionaries. Since its first outing in 1954, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has brought the advertising, marketing, and communications industries together at its one-of-a-kind event to learn, network, and celebrate. The Festival in June marks the culmination and start of the creative year, a time for the world’s most inventive, talented, and creative people to set the agenda for the year ahead.

Nadja Bellan-White

Before it became fashionable, embracing the trend to combine the principles of what drives behaviour using data, creativity, technology and smart media to transform brands by making the right customer connections.

As Vice Media Group’s first Global Chief Marketing Officer, Nadja is responsible for developing the enterprise brand strategy for this $1BN media conglomerate. She oversees marketing, brand strategy, data and insights, and global communications in over 25 countries. Prior to joining Vice Media Group, Nadja was the Executive Partner and WPP Team Leader for Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. At WPP, Nadja led the Brand Transformation for Unilever across Beauty and Personal Care focusing specifically on Dove and led behaviour change for Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation globally.

She is known as the “fixer”- the person brands call when they are facing challenges in brand transformation. Nadja utilises her 26+ year career in integrated marketing, media and communications to transform brands. Using her background in digital, brand, and consulting she has a unique approach that makes her an invaluable member of the team. During her career, Nadja has led brand transformations for such clients such as American Express, LG Electronics, IKEA North America, RBS Citizens, Bharti Airtel, Coca-Cola, Siemens, Safaricom/Vodaphone. While in Africa, her team leveraged partnered with key African government leaders in driving business growth in countries across East and West Africa.

Context, Culture, and Creativity are also critical for Nadja. Nadja was the recipient of AdColor’s Legend Award for her excellence in advertising, media and communications, the 2019 recipient as one of Savoy Magazine’s top 100 Women in Corporate America, named one of the top women to watch for AdAge Europe in 2020 and recently named one of the top 25 Women of Color in Communications in 2021.

Ms. Bellan-White is an A Better Chance, Inc. Scholar recipient; earned a BA in Foreign Affairs and Spanish from The University of Virginia in 1989 and an MBA from NYU- Stern School of Business in 1994.

She has served both a member and the President of Dubai Lynx, Creative Effectiveness Jury; member of the Council of Urban Professionals Board (NY); President of WARC Awards for Effectiveness, Collaboration & Culture; Executive Leadership Council, Executive Director of The Roundhouse.Org (UK); member of the Board of Ad Council, PTTOW, BECA (Black CMO Alliance) and an Advisory Board member of WeRock, NV, the parent company of WeTransfer Corporation.

Philippe Krakowsky

Philippe Krakowsky is Chief Executive Officer of IPG, and a member of IPG’s Board of Directors.

Prior to being named IPG’s CEO, Philippe was the company’s Chief Operating Officer, managing business operations across all of Interpublic, with direct oversight of IPG’s independent companies Acxiom, Carmichael Lynch, Deutsch, Hill Holliday, Huge, Kinesso, Matterkind and R/GA. During that time, Philippe was also Chairman of IPG Mediabrands. Over the course of his nearly two-decade tenure at IPG, he has also led the strategy, talent, communications and business development functions for the holding company.

Before taking on the COO role at IPG, Philippe spent a number of years as CEO of Mediabrands, leading the 10,500-person unit that oversees marketing investment for many of the world’s most iconic brands. he strengthened the group’s leadership position in digital and data-driven marketing and increased its collaboration across the IPG network. He also served as IPG’s Chief Strategy and Talent Officer.

In 2018, Philippe was the key architect of IPG’s $2.3 billion acquisition of Acxiom, the data and solutions company that has developed one of the world’s most extensive consumer data assets, and is just as importantly known for its leadership in data privacy and data ethics.

Philippe has led and implemented major strategic actions that have been instrumental in IPG becoming an industry leader. These include the early decision to embed digital and emerging media capabilities across the group’s portfolio, as well as the creation of Mediabrands and IPG’s Healthcare Council. Additionally, Philippe has overseen IPG’s industry-leading D&I initiatives, as well as been responsible for designing many of the integrated, cross-agency client teams that have become a hallmark of Interpublic’s success. He has also served on the boards of several IPG companies, including Huge and the IPG-backed O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul.

Prior to joining IPG, Philippe led the differentiation of Young & Rubicam in the marketplace during its transformation to a public company, and led the positioning for BBDO when that agency carved out a niche as one of advertising’s premier global creative networks. He began his career in advertising at Levine Huntley Schmidt and Beaver, a notable New York-based creative boutique agency.

Originally from Mexico, Philippe holds an A.B. from Harvard University. He started his business career in the technology industry, as part of the team that built and ultimately sold an artificial intelligence software company to Apple Computer.

Erica Roberts

Erica is the Chief Creative Officer of Publicis NY. As CCO, Erica has put collaboration at the core of Publicis NY’s creative process, leveraging the power of media, strategy, experience, data and CRM to deliver some of the most creative and transformative work in the industry.  In 2020, her uniquely integrated approach earned Erica recognition as one of the Top 26 Agency Leaders to Watch by Adweek and 40 over 40 by Campaign. 

Erica has lead award-winning, business-transforming work across nearly every category, from CPG to QSR, financial services to retail. Most recently, she helped relaunch 10 of J.M Smucker’s largest brands, including Jif, Folgers, Milkbone and Café Bustelo. She’s also been instrumental in leading the ongoing rollout of Citibank’s new, fully integrated global platform and Planet Fitness’s new brand positioning.

Before joining Publicis in 2005, Erica worked at McCann Erickson NY. She lives in New York City with her son and husband.

Jonathan Miller

Jonathan Miller is CEO of Integrated Media Company, a digital media company that invests in growth stage companies at the nexus of media and technology. IMC is affiliated with TPG Capital, a premier private equity firm. 

Jonathan is an advisor to Advancit Capital with Shari Redstone, Chairman of ViacomCBS. Advancit Capital focuses on early stage venture capital investments. Previously, Jon was Chairman and CEO of the Digital Media Group at NEWS CORP and FOX, Chairman and CEO of AOL, INC., President and CEO of USA Networks Interactive (now IAC) and also held senior positions at MTV Networks and the NBA. 

Jon is on the Boards of Akamai Technologies, Inc., Nielsen Inc., Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., and J2 Global, Inc. He also serves as a non-profit Director/Trustee for the American Film Institute and Paley Center for Media.  Jon has been awarded the Inaugural Pioneer Prize, Producers Guild of America, the Inaugural Vanguard Award, International Emmy Association, the Digital Power Player of the Year, Hollywood Reporter, and the Monaco Media Festival, Interactive Pioneer Award.
