FORD THEATRE: MAN WITHOUT A FEAR (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. In this story, an escaped convict confronts the man who framed him nine years earlier. Although Robert Drayton (played by Raymond Burr) holds a gun on his former business partner, John Ashburn (played by Joseph Cotten), he cannot get his betrayer to apologize and beg for mercy. Ashburn claims that he cannot be frightened because he has only a few months to live. Ashburn also shows his former partner his will, which has been changed to leave his great wealth to Drayton rather than his wife, who has been having an affair. Drayton is to be paroled in only another year but is not sure that he should believe the man who took away nine years of his life. Before Drayton has time to weigh matters, Ashburn has a seizure, and Drayton must decide if he is to exact his bloody revenge or call for medical help and allow himself to be returned to prison. Commercials deleted.
