GOOD TIMES: I HAD A DREAM (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about a struggling black family living in a Chicago housing project, dominated by the flamboyant James "J.J." Evans, Jr., with his rousing signature wail "Dy-no-miiiite!" In this episode, J.J.'s hopes of getting a promotion at the advertising agency are dashed when his boss tells him that he will not be giving the position of assistant art director to a black person due to the prejudices of certain clients. That evening J.J. complains to his brother and sister that life would be so much easier if he were white. He later falls asleep and has a nightmare: unable to be seen or heard, the real J.J. watches as a white -- and decidedly square -- version of himself interacts with his shocked family and co-workers.
