DICK VAN DYKE SHOW, THE: ONE ANGRY MAN (TV)

Summary

One in this series of comedy programs about the personal and professional life of Rob Petrie, the head comedy writer for television's "Alan Brady Show." While working at home, Rob receives a notice that he has been chosen for jury duty. Laura and Sally arrive in court to observe the goings on as Rob serves as the foreman of the jury. During the trial, Laura is shocked to see Rob going out of his way to be nice to the beautiful defendant, Marla Hendrix. In fact, he tries so hard to impress her that he falls out of the jury box. That evening, Laura confronts him about his behavior and states that he should withdraw from the jury since he obviously will not be able to judge fairly. In the end, however, Rob surprises everyone, including himself. During this show comic references are made to "Perry Mason" and "Twelve Angry Men." Includes commercials.
